Juli Zeh
Juli Zeh, born in Bonn in 1974, studied law in Passau and Leipzig. Her debut novel Adler und Engel (2001) was a global success, and her novels have since been translated into 35 languages. Her social novel Unterleuten (2016) was on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for over a year. [Juli Zeh](www.juli-zeh.de) has received numerous awards for her work, including the Rauriser Literature Prize (2002), the Hölderlin Prize (2003), the Ernst Toller Prize (2003), the Carl Amery Literature Prize (2009), the Thomas Mann Prize (2013), the Hildegard von Bingen Prize (2015), and the Bruno Kreisky Prize (2017), as well as the Federal Cross of Merit (2018). In 2018, she was elected honorary judge at the Constitutional Court of the State of Brandenburg.
